I have dreamed of Tutti Bridgeworks for the last 12 years. This album is a culmination of my imagination, initiative, and collaboration.

Nann Steffens

Trained as a professional violinist, teacher and orchestra conductor, I have had many wonderful experiences playing with other musicians and sharing my expertise with children and adults. I am influenced by my Irish/Scottish heritage, French impressionistic music and the folk elements of Aaron Copland. I have explored all of this music on my violin, which is my primary instrument followed by mandolin, piano and guitar. In the last 12 years, I have been compelled to write down, with musical composition, the melodies that I hear inside of my mind into a medium where I can hear the music outside of myself. It is the outcome of this musical process that I want to share with you, the audience. In my work, you will hear my fascination with layers and textures. I enjoy combining folk instruments with classical instruments to create unique sounds. That is who I am as an artist, whether it is expressed in a 32 instrument composition or an HO scale model train set. Thank you for visiting my website!

As every artist before me has experienced, the actual transformation of an art form from our personal essence to some exterior manifestation takes a lot of courage and resolve. That being said, I can honestly say that the process of creating this volume of pieces has been very joyful for me.
